Robins Kaplan Announces New Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee Co-Chairs
July 5, 2022
Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Jason Fair and Elizabeth Burnett have been appointed to serve as co-chairs of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, replacing Tim Purdon and Sherry Roberg-Perez, who served as co-chairs for the past two and three years, respectively.
Jason Fair is the Deputy Managing Partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office. He counsels clients through all aspects of business disputes and represents clients in all forms of dispute resolution, including state, federal and private venues. Fair also handles high-value and industry-critical matters in the construction field, and due to his experience in this area, was appointed to Law360’s Construction Editorial Advisory Board in 2021. Fair is committed to pro bono work, and frequently partners with outside agencies to protect the rights of impoverished, abused, and neglected children and youth. He has been named a Southern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers for seven consecutive years.
Elizabeth Burnett is a partner in the firm’s Minneapolis office and an experienced litigator who represents clients nationwide in product liability, insurance, commercial, and disaster litigation. Representing plaintiffs and defendants, her clients range from product manufacturers to plant owners to subrogated property insurers. In recent years, Burnett has devoted a portion of her practice to securing recoveries for those injured or killed in fires and explosions. Burnett serves as a Director on the Board of Minnesota Women Lawyers and as a Director for H2O for Life, a service-learning organization that empowers youth to take action to combat the global water crisis. She has been recognized as a Minnesota Rising Star by Super Lawyers and an Up & Coming Attorney by Minnesota Lawyer.
