The American Lawyer Ranks Robins Kaplan Among Top 15 Firms in Nation for Pro Bono Work in 2024
July 10, 2024
Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that it has been ranked among the top 15 firms in the nation for pro bono work according to The American Lawyer’s annual pro bono survey, which highlights the AmLaw 200 firms with the deepest commitment to pro bono work.
In 2023, Robins Kaplan provided over 19,500 hours of pro bono service in partnership with over 60 nonprofit organizations.
“We are incredibly honored to be recognized among the top 15 firms in the nation for our pro bono efforts,” said Geoff Kozen, Chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. “This ranking underscores our deep commitment to providing legal services to those in need, supporting nonprofit organizations, and advocating for civil rights and public interest causes. We are proud of the dedication and passion our attorneys and professional staff bring to this vital work every day.”
Over the past year, the firm’s pro bono matters have included achieving favorable outcomes on behalf of veterans experiencing homelessness; protecting the Boundary Waters, the largest wilderness area east of the Rocky Mountains; partnering with OutFront Minnesota to offer a recurring transgender name change clinic; recovering unpaid wages; helping low-income tenants facing eviction; and assisting asylum applicants fleeing persecution in their home countries.
