Robins Kaplan associate Raoul Shah spoke on a panel titled, "Building Your Legal Brand in a Digital World" on Thursday, November 7 at the 2024 NAPABA Convention in Seattle. He shared his insights on ways to effectively communicate, build online relationships, drive referrals, and create a meaningful impact in communities.

Session Description:

The legal business is driven by referrals, and referrals come from relationships. Relationships are built through storytelling, and in this new digital working world, those stories are increasingly being told on the internet.

This session taught you how to tell your story online and use it to scale your business and your impact. We covered every step of the process, from understanding your audience, to telling your authentic story, to sharing it on digital platforms. We also analyzed how to amplify your story, leveraging community-driven feedback loops and network effects to go viral. Finally, we discussed the responsibility that Asian American lawyers have to tell their stories, and their collective impact on our communities and institutions.
