The very first article we wrote in this column emphasized the importance of paying attention to the rules governing the perfecting of appeals. See, Eric J. Magnuson, Magnuson: Crossing the t's and dotting the i's, Minnesota Lawyer (March 15, 2013). Over the years, we have continued to write articles on the theme of paying attention to the rules, including reviewing why rules exist and the perils of trying to skirt them.

The articles on our website include some of the publications and papers authored by our attorneys, both before and after they joined our firm. The content of these articles should not be taken as legal advice. The views and opinions expressed in this article are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views or official position of Robins Kaplan LLP.
