Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that David Martinez has been included in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Leaders of Influence: Litigators & Trial Attorneys” special edition publication for the third year in a row. This list recognizes a select number of attorneys in the Los Angeles region who have demonstrated exceptional skill, leadership, and achievements in the legal field.

Mr. Martinez represents a wide range of U.S. and international clients in all forms of dispute resolution and business counseling, with emphasis in the areas of commercial, intellectual property, unfair competition, shareholder and partnership litigation, arbitration, and mediation. His clients range from individuals to start-ups to Fortune 100 companies in the real estate, fashion, media, financial, entertainment, manufacturing, technology, and legal services industries. He also serves as outside general counsel for select clients.

Mr. Martinez is an elected member of the firm’s Executive Board and the pro bono chair of the firm’s California offices. In his 24 years at Robins Kaplan, he has earned a reputation for his dedication to pro bono causes, particularly in immigration matters. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc., a nonprofit law firm that provides free civil legal services to low-income residents of California's rural counties.

Mr. Martinez is also a prolific author and speaker who is often recognized for his leadership and excellence in the legal industry. In 2024, he was listed in The Best Lawyers in America, the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Top 100 Lawyers,” Lawdragon’s “500 Leading Litigators in America,” and Super Lawyer’s “Southern California Super Lawyers.”
