Our success as insurance professionals is largely based upon our ability to understand and appreciate others’ perspectives, communicate effectively, diagnose and overcome breakdowns in communication, and persuade and present with confidence and clarity. This is true whether we are advocating for ourselves, our colleagues, or our clients, and whether our audience is a manager, judge, mediator, opposing counsel, or teammate.
Please join the Robins Kaplan Women in Insurance group for our annual women’s seminar and networking event designed to support and empower women in the industry. This year, Harvard Instructor and Public Speaking and Leadership Communication Coach Jill Slye will present on “The Psychology of Persuasion.” Jill will teach us how to maximize our natural communication style and how gender colors how we speak and how we are heard. We will learn the principles of communication that drive all business interactions, how to structure messages that inspire action, how to gain confidence in our presentation abilities, how to convey insight and recommendations more effectively, and how to best understand and connect with our audience.
Immediately following this presentation, we will host a Q&A with Jill which will lead to further discussion and networking with women in our industry.
