Suzanne M. Stinson RNC-OB
Overview
My whole career has revolved around providing care to families. My journey started when I became a nurse and later a midwife in England. Since arriving in the U.S. in 2001, I continued to follow my dream. Being a labor and delivery nurse for 15 years enabled me to explore many aspects of pregnancy, labor and the postpartum period. I have experience not only at the bedside, but teaching couples about the new person(s) that was about to join them and supporting new mothers as an educator and lactation consultant. My path then took me to being an educator of nurses and then on to managing a Maternal Fetal Medicine department where I was able to expand my knowledge into the high-risk pregnancy realm.
The family dynamic is extremely important to me. I have been present in the most intimate moments of a family’s life: birth, death, agony, despair and joy. I consider every position a privilege and it doesn’t end as a medical analyst. My role at Robins Kaplan enables me to be an advocate for families who have found themselves on a path that they didn’t anticipate. As a medical analyst I contribute to the legal team in fighting for what the family needs following an event that has impacted their lives, thus enabling them to find their new normal.
