Overview

Sophia Duenas is a litigation attorney focused on business and intellectual property litigation. She has represented commercial, entertainment, and media clients, among others, in every aspect of litigation, from performing pre-suit evaluations, initiating suits, and aggressively pursuing discovery, to summary judgment, mediation, and trial on the merits. Sophia has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial real estate and construction disputes in California superior court, as well as copyright and trademark infringement proceedings in federal court and before the USPTO Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.  

Sophia received her J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, and her B.A. from New York University. During law school, Sophia worked for USC Gould School of Law's Immigration Clinic, where she appeared in U.S. Immigration Court and secured a cancellation of removal for a longtime client of the clinic after 16 years of removal proceedings. She was also a founding representative of the Gould Art Law Society. Prior to law school, Sophia worked in the commercial fine art industry at international auction houses and blue chip galleries in New York City.
