Overview

Ryan MacDonald’s career has focused on representation of insurers and other parties in complex commercial matters. He has extensive experience litigating and counseling clients with respect to a variety of insurance claims, including those arising under first-party commercial, commercial liability, professional liability, E&O, D&O, first-party personal, and auto coverages. Ryan has litigated cases involving insurance coverage, contracts, general liability, bad faith, class actions, consumer regulation, and securities in federal and state court.

Ryan has first-chair trial experience in consumer litigation involving unfair/deceptive business practices allegations. He also has extensive briefing and oral argument experience in dispositive and discovery motions in a range of insurance and complex commercial cases. Ryan has also handled federal and state post-trial and appellate proceedings, particularly following extraordinarily large jury verdicts and novel legal issues.
