Overview

Prior to joining Robins Kaplan in 2010, Ben worked at a mid-sized insurance defense firm in Minneapolis both defending insurance companies on coverage issues and bringing subrogation actions on behalf of insurance companies for losses caused by other parties.  He successfully defended an insured/builder on a construction defect claim through summary judgement and appeal.

With a keen eye to details, Ben currently works with the firm’s litigation teams on many aspects of written discovery to increase efficiency and effectiveness of document review and production.  Along with specialized knowledge of the written discovery in a matter, he assists legal teams with deposition preparation, motion work and trial preparation.

Ben has worked on a wide range of substantive matters and has over 7 years of experience in mortgage backed securities litigation matters.   He also has experience in credit card fee, intellectual property, construction defect, and breach of contract matters as well as others.
