Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that partner Sherry Roberg-Perez has been recognized on Twin Cities Business’ Notable Women in STEM list. This list honors best-in-class executives across a broad range of industries who are leaders and innovators in STEM.

Dr. Roberg-Perez is an M.I.T-trained Ph.D. who leverages over a decade of experience working as a molecular biologist in her patent litigation practice, which is focused on biotechnology and medical device clients. She has been trial counsel in hard-fought, multimillion-dollar patent cases between competitors, represented clients in contested-proceedings before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and counsels and advises clients on minimizing the disruptive impact a dispute may have on their day-to-day business.

She has handled cases involving technologies such as therapeutic antibodies, genotyping, DNA fingerprinting, proteases, transcatheter heart valves, ICDs, spinal implants, minimally invasive knee arthroplasty techniques, and guide extension catheters. Her practice also includes IP diligence for a global investment firm, in which she evaluates and advises on life science patent portfolios, including those held by universities and emerging companies.

Dr. Roberg-Perez has been recognized for her leadership skills and professional accomplishments by multiple publications. In 2022, she received Minnesota Lawyer’s “Diversity and Inclusion Award” and in 2021, she was named a "Woman Worth Watching in Leadership” by Profiles in Diversity Journal. She has also repeatedly been named a “Minnesota Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers.
