LOS ANGELES, June 2014 – Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is proud to announce that Roman M. Silberfeld, Regional Managing Partner of the Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s Executive Board, is a recipient of Public Counsel’s Founders Award for his commitment to justice. The award, which only five others have received in the past 45 years, was presented at Public Counsel’s annual William O. Douglas Dinner in Los Angeles on June 19, 2014.
“Roman’s strong devotion to helping children in need and protecting consumer rights is so admirable, he is a true public servant. He continues to challenge us at the firm as he raises the bar, and we are extremely proud of his achievements and his long-held commitment to justice. He is very deserving to be honored with this notable award,” said Martin R. Lueck, chairman of the firm’s Executive Board.
Mr. Silberfeld, who has been involved with Public Counsel for almost 20 years, is a board member and a former board chair. In addition, Mr. Silberfeld has chaired a working group studying amendments of the California Constitution and has been a member of the State’s Advisory Committee on Civil Jury Instructions. A trial lawyer with an impressive record of courtroom success across many of complex civil litigation’s challenging disciplines, his experience includes business and high technology matters, product liability, professional negligence and mass tort litigation.
