Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that it has signed the American Bar Association’s pledge to promote disability diversity in the legal profession. The firm joins a growing number of law firms and legal employers to take part in this campaign that calls on law firms, corporations, bar associations, judiciaries, and law schools to affirm their commitment to enhancing inclusion and opportunities for lawyers with disabilities.

The pledge was created in response to the lack of lawyers with disabilities in the profession. It outlines eight initiatives that pledge signatories can do to help promote disability diversity, including mentoring law students with disabilities, offering scholarships and fellowships to law students with disabilities, and supporting disability organizations.

“Robins Kaplan is proud to be a part of this important initiative promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in the legal profession,” said Chandra Kilgriff, Robins Kaplan’s chief talent and diversity officer. “The steps outlined in the pledge are simple, yet critically important, actions that law firms can take to increase the opportunities for lawyers and future lawyers with disabilities.”
