NAPLES, May 2015 – Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that it was selected to receive the Law Firm of the Year Award from Legal Aid Service of Collier County. Robins Kaplan Partner and Legal Aid Fundraising Development Board Member Lawrence A. Farese will accept the award on the firm's behalf at the organization's 7th Annual Barrister's Bash fundraiser on May 7.

"Robins Kaplan wholeheartedly stands behind Legal Aid's mission. My colleagues and I have seen firsthand the life-changing impact that Legal Aid's provisions have on vulnerable residents of Collier County," stated Mr. Farese. "It is our privilege to support their incredible endeavors, and to accept this award as a gesture of our ongoing commitment to serve."

Robins Kaplan and Mr. Farese are specifically being honored for assisting in the growth of Legal Aid's program, for helping to increase the total number of pro bono service hours donated by members of the private bar association, and for raising awareness about Legal Aid's work in the community.

"On behalf of everyone here at Legal Aid, we are humbled and honored by your firm's many efforts in support of our mission," said Legal Aid Director of Development Jeffrey Ahren. "Legal Aid would not have enjoyed the success it has experienced in assisting thousands of those less fortunate without your outstanding support!"

Legal Aid Service of Collier County provides indigent legal and related services, including legal representation and pro bono coordination with volunteer attorneys as well as community legal education programs. The organization strives to encourage self-sufficiency and to ultimately improve the lifestyle and living conditions of the community.

Each of Legal Aid's 2015 award recipients was asked to discuss their support of Legal Aid in pre-recorded videotaped remarks, which will air during the Barrister's Bash.
