The firm was recognized for its pro bono work in appellate litigation matters.

MINNEAPOLIS (December 13, 2011) - Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. is pleased to announce that it was named a 2011 Beacon of Justice Award winner by the National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA) for the firm's pro bono work in appellate litigation matters.   The award was presented at the NLADA Exemplar Award Dinner on December 6 in Washington, DC.

The NLADA, founded in 1911, is America's oldest and largest nonprofit association devoted to excellence in the delivery of legal services to those who cannot afford counsel. The organization has secured access to justice through the creation and improvement of legal institutions, advocacy, training and the development of nationally applicable standards.

"This is a well-deserved recognition that reflects on our attorneys who have dedicated many hours to litigating appeals decisions to help the underserved," said Anne M. Lockner, a partner and Chair of the Firm's Pro Bono Committee.
