Robins Kaplan LLP today announced that Manleen Singh has been selected as a member of the 2020 class of Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows—a program established to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. She is the tenth Robins Kaplan attorney to participate in this program since its inception in 2011. Additionally, Mary Pheng has been selected as a member of the 2020 class of Pathfinders, an LCLD program designed to train early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies.

Manleen represents large and small companies in a variety of sectors, including retail, food and beverage, and manufacturing, on matters involving litigation and business relationships. Her experience in business litigation includes fraud, consumer protection, contractual disputes, conversion of corporate assets, and trade secrets. On the transactional front, Manleen manages multimillion-dollar acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions and general corporate governance issues. Manleen has a diverse pro bono practice, which includes federal acknowledgment of a Native American tribe, religious employment discrimination, and applications for minor immigrant clients to receive Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.
Mary is an attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology Litigation Group. Mary’s practice includes trademark litigation and prosecution, copyright litigation and diligence, and patent litigation spanning a wide range of technological fields, including software, cellular phone technology, computing systems, and medical devices. Mary has represented clients in federal district court, the U.S. International Trade Commission, Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and in AAA proceedings. She is also active in the legal community as Co-Chair of the HCBA 1L Minority Clerkship Program, a member of Minnesota Women Lawyers and the Minnesota Asian American Pacific Bar Association.
Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 285 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The LCLD Fellows Program, which has trained more than a thousand mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of LCLD’s most important initiatives. The LCLD Pathfinder Program is now in its fourth year as a full-scale program, having been piloted in 2015 among a select number of LCLD Member law firms and corporations.
