MINNEAPOLIS, October 27, 2015—National law firm Robins Kaplan LLP announced today that Benchmark Litigation has recognized the firm as a "highly recommended" litigation firm in Minnesota, as well as a nationally recommended intellectual property firm. Additionally, the guide has named the following partners as 2016 "Litigation Stars:"

  • Anne Lockner – Minneapolis
  • Christopher Messerly – Minneapolis
  • Ronald Schutz – New York

According to Benchmark’s analysis, the firm is "renowned by clients for its 'practical and ethical orientations to [the clients'] goals and objectives." The firm's attorneys are known for being "both 'good with people' and 'good people,' with small dedicated teams that give their full support to any matter."

Peers also recognize that the firm is "very well-respected in the intellectual property arena," particularly as "one of the few firms that really tries cases for NPEs very aggressively. They are not just going the route of representing the patent 'shakedown artists,' otherwise known as [in the parlance of some] patent trolls."

The complete firm profile can be found by searching for Robins Kaplan here.

Now in its ninth year, Benchmark Litigation is an annual publication that distinguishes America's leading business litigation firms and attorneys. The results stem from the culmination of a research period (lasting from four to six months, depending on region) where Benchmark researchers conduct extensive interviews with litigators and their clients to identify the leading litigators and firms.
