Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Philip Sieff has been selected to receive the 2024 Minnesota ICON award by Finance & Commerce and Minnesota Lawyer. This award recognizes attorneys or business leaders who have exhibited distinctive excellence that puts them at the top of Minnesota’s legal and business communities.

Sieff has a proven track record of success in high-stakes personal injury and wrongful death litigation. In 2024, he secured a $7.75 million landmark verdict against CRC Industries, a case that highlighted the company’s failure to prevent misuse of its aerosol dust remover products. This victory was the first of its kind to go to trial, reflecting Sieff’s pioneering legal efforts to address the dangers of “huffing.” He also has an extensive pro bono practice, including serving as co-lead counsel of the I-35W Consortium, a group of 17 law firms that provided pro bono legal services to more than 100 victims of the I-35W bridge collapse. Recognized by numerous organizations for his leadership and courtroom skills, Sieff’s career exemplifies a commitment to advancing justice and mentoring the next generation of trial lawyers.

This year’s Minnesota ICON award honorees will be celebrated at an event at Quincy Hall in NE Minneapolis on Thursday, December 12.
