(July 2011) - A Texas federal jury awarded the firm's client, Personal Audio LLC, $8 million in damages from Apple Inc. after finding the defendant's iPods infringed two patents for playlist technology. The jury further rejected Apple's claims that the patents were invalid.
The suit, filed in June 2009 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, claimed that MP3 players made and sold by Apple and other technology companies infringed Personal Audio's patents.
