Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Matthew P. Cardosi has joined the ranks of the firm’s insurance and catastrophic loss litigators in the Boston office.

Cardosi counsels commercial insurers in first-party coverage matters and represents them in litigation. His current practice primarily involves commercial property and business interruption claims.

Cardosi’s previous experience includes litigating declaratory judgment actions on behalf of insurers and defending insurers and their insureds against liability actions in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He has briefed appeals and presented oral argument before the Rhode Island Supreme Court.

Before entering private practice, Cardosi served as a judicial law clerk to the justices of the Rhode Island Superior Court. He received his J.D. in 2012 from Tulane University Law School, where he also served as senior articles editor for the Tulane Environmental Law Journal. Cardosi completed his undergraduate degree at Boston College in 2009.
