New York, NY—June 15, 2016—Robins Kaplan LLP® is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by Legal 500 USA 2016 among the nation’s top firms in the area of Antitrust: Civil Litigation/Class Actions. Hollis Salzman, partner and co-chair of the firm’s Antitrust & Trade Regulation group in New York, has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer in the same category.

Legal 500 noted that Robins Kaplan stands out for successfully prosecuting and defending antitrust class actions, and noted that “only a handful of firms have a similar platform, capacity, resources, reputation and expertise on the plaintiff side.” The guide highlighted the firm’s involvement as co-lead counsel in the recently resolved air cargo shipping services litigation, in which the firm represented businesses that purchased air freight services and secured more than $1.2 billion in settlements. Also mentioned is Robins Kaplan’s involvement as court-appointed co-lead counsel to the proposed class of end payors of purchased or leased new vehicles in the auto parts class action, encompassing 32 separate actions against more than 100 defendants.

Salzman was recognized as a Tier 1 leading lawyer in the Antitrust: Civil Litigation/Class Actions category. She is one of just 22 attorneys to receive this recognition. Legal 500 describes Hollis as a “leader of the New York State plaintiff bar.”

Legal 500 also recognized Stephen Safranski and Kellie Lerner for their efforts in advising a large publicly traded company in an antitrust matter on the defense side.

Legal 500 rankings are based on surveys and interviews with more than 250,000 corporate counsel worldwide, as well as Legal 500’s own research. Law firm recommendations are based on national capabilities, regardless of location, and emphasize practice teams rather than individuals.
