Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Gardner has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group as a partner in the New York office. A seasoned trial attorney, Ms. Gardner will focus her practice on litigation involving patent and trade secret protected technology.

Ms. Gardner has over 20 years of experience representing clients in the chemical, materials, pharmaceutical, electrical, medical products, and medical diagnostics industries. Her extensive litigation background includes representing clients in numerous PTAB proceedings, as well as in patent jury trials, bench trials, in federal district courts and at the International Trade Commission, and in appeals to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She has also counseled clients on negotiating and drafting licensing agreements and on issues related to patentability, validity, and infringement.

“We are very excited to welcome Elizabeth to the firm’s IP group,” said Ron Schutz, managing partner of Robins Kaplan’s New York office. “Her extensive work as a patent litigator—combined with her background in a wide variety of technology industries—will make her a tremendous asset to the firm and our clients.”

Ms. Gardner’s work in intellectual property has earned her recognition as a New York “IP Star” and one of the “Top 250 Women in IP” by Managing Intellectual Property.

“I am thrilled to be joining a firm with such an excellent reputation in litigation,” Ms. Gardner said. “I’ve always been dedicated to putting my clients’ interests first and I’m pleased that Robins Kaplan shares that same philosophy of client care.”

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Gardner is active in several local professional organizations.
