Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Brandon Vaughn has been named to Savoy Magazine’s 2022 Most Influential Black Lawyers list. This list features the "best of the best" of Black lawyers that are partners within leading national law firms, corporate, and general counsel from Fortune 1000 corporations.
Vaughn is a personal injury, medical malpractice, and product liability attorney who provides advocacy for those who have been harmed due to another party’s negligence. A longstanding advocate for equality, Vaughn has taken leadership roles in numerous professional organizations focused on diversity and inclusion, including Twin Cities Diversity in Practice and The Black Biglaw Pipeline. He also serves as the President of the Hennepin County Bar Association and on the Executive Board of the Minnesota Association for Justice.
Within Robins Kaplan, Vaughn is the leader of the firm’s Black Firm Member Group, former chair of the firm’s Recruiting/Hiring Committee, and former co-chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
Vaughn’s accomplishments have been recognized by numerous organizations. In 2021, he was shortlisted for Chambers “Diversity and Inclusion Lawyer of the Year Award.” In 2020, he received the National Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s “Chairman's Award for Leadership Excellence.” Additionally, Vaughn was named a “Diversity Leader” by Profiles in Diversity Journal and included on Lawyers of Color’s “Nation’s Best” list in 2019.
