Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that partner Bob Bennett has been inducted into the prestigious 2025 Lawdragon Hall of Fame. This honor is reserved for a select group of attorneys whose contributions have profoundly shaped the law and the legal profession.

According to Lawdragon, honorees in this guide “have created bodies of law, entire legal practices, protections and rights that did not exist. They have won civil rights for millions of people and changed the face of the legal profession itself.”

Bennett, a partner in the firm’s Civil Rights and Police Misconduct Group, is widely recognized for tackling high-profile cases that expose injustice and drive meaningful change. His legal work has sparked a nationwide reassessment of law enforcement policies, procedures, and practices. Over the past four decades, Bennett has consistently secured multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements for victims of civil rights violations, earning a reputation as a formidable advocate for justice and reform.

Among his many notable achievements, Bennett recently helped secure a landmark $12.2 million settlement on behalf of a client who suffered severe and permanent injuries due to the deliberate indifference of county personnel at Scott County Jail in Shakopee, Minnesota. The settlement is believed to be the largest amount of its kind in Minnesota to date. He also played a pivotal role in securing two settlements totaling $8.875 million for victims of police misconduct committed by Derek Chauvin and other officers of the Minneapolis Police Department.

Bennett’s impressive career has earned him recognition in multiple Lawdragon guides, including the "500 Leading Litigators in America," "500 Leading Civil Rights & Plaintiff Employment Lawyers," and "500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers."
