LOS ANGELES (February 2015) – Robins Kaplan LLP is pleased to announce that Andrea L. Gothing was selected for the 2015 class of Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows. Ms. Gothing will participate in the LCLD’s Fellows Program, which was established to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.

“Andrea was an ideal candidate for this program, as her demonstrated leadership skills and accomplished legal practice truly represent the essence of an LCLD Fellow. We are so pleased to have her representing Robins Kaplan in this capacity,” stated Kellie Lerner, co-chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee.

Ms. Gothing is a Partner in Robins Kaplan LLP’s Intellectual Property and Technology Litigation group. She has served on the firm's hiring committee and as an instructor in the firm's Exceptional Advocate Training Program. Ms. Gothing is registered to practice in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. In the courtroom, she represents clients both as plaintiffs and as defendants, in many varying technological fields. She has significant experience running complicated multi-patent cases, including developing high-level case themes and nuanced details of claim construction, infringement, validity, and damages. In addition to her intellectual property practice, Ms. Gothing is committed to the firm's pro bono efforts, focusing on juvenile protection and criminal defense.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 220 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a diverse legal profession. The LCLD Fellows program, which has trained more than 600 mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of LCLD’s most important initiatives.

According to LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr., the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “an extraordinarily rich year of relationship-building, virtual and in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership.”
