We wrote last month about the basic rules of common sense and etiquette that govern oral argument. The article was prompted by a recent Second Circuit case report concerning a lawyer who had not only failed to observe those rules, but did so with such style and verve that he was told to sit down even though his argument was not finished, and ultimately thrown out of the courtroom.
