As the instances of fee-shifting in prevailing party litigation rise, the analysis of reasonable attorneys’ fees has never been more important. Both fee-paying and fee-seeking clients must arm themselves with strategic and analytical tools to either save or recover an enormous sum. These materials provide the background information regarding the general principles of attorneys’ fee awards, the availability of a trial over the right and the amount of fees, traditional evidence parties offer, methods for calculating a reasonable fee, and an appendix of illustrative cases and their relevant supporting documents.
